Cortina’s Escape into the Fae Afterlands

(a fantasy wrapped around Tina’s real life; a glimpse into her journey; written by her husband Len)

Tina's Story

Tina often said when another of life’s twists and turns blossomed into a memorable escapade or a significant milestone, that she would one day write a book to chronicle her eventful life. This is not that book.

I could never write that book because those moments are not mine to transcribe—they belong to Tina; they were her moments, her reality.

Yet, people often express a desire to have known Tina before her dementia, so I have taken her story and wrapped it in a fantasy—one founded on reality—to share a little of what lay behind that popular smile.

I have also tried to capture the essence of Tina’s decline into dementia for those who knew her story but were unable to walk beside her on her final path.

Acknowledgement

A great deal of effort has gone into proofreading, but only by our novice author, who kindly asks you to set your expectations of quality accordingly. May I suggest that any errors be seen as charming idiosyncrasies rather than reflections of poor quality? Haha!
